Chris Wiley — The Guy Who Reaches Out From Across the World
Published on: April 10, 2025

One random day, I got a message on Instagram from someone I had never heard of — Chris Wiley from a brand called Foxyroks. At first, I thought it was just another one of those casual chats people have online. But within minutes, I realized this guy wasn’t just interested in skating — he genuinely cared about what I was doing.

He had come across my journey and asked if I had any upcoming trips. When I told him about my Leh to Manali skate, he said he wanted to send me something — something unique, something cooler. He offered to sponsor handmade skate jewels like rings, keychains, and pendants for good luck. It felt so personal and thoughtful. And he actually did it. No questions asked. That was the start of something really special.

Since then, Chris has supported me in ways I never imagined. He shares all of my videos on his socials, always cheers me on from the other side of the world, and goes out of his way to help me find sponsors and visibility. He even managed to get me a spot on BBC Radio Leicester — all the way from India. Who does that?

To me, Chris isn’t just the founder of Foxyroks or a guy who recycles old skateboards into beautiful handmade art. He’s a big brother — someone who believes in second chances, who’s lived through his own battles with addiction and mental health, and who still chooses to lift others up. His brand is built from broken decks, but his work — and his energy — always feels whole.

Foxyroks is more than a brand. It’s Chris’s way of giving new life to what’s been thrown away — both skateboards and maybe, in some way, even people. His story, from 90s graffiti culture to pro chef to artist and maker, is mad inspiring. And now, he splits his time between Leicester and Belfast, creating in his studio and spreading love and hype like a one-man army.
If all goes well, I’ll finally get to meet Chris this year during my skate across Wales. Can’t wait to skate, chill, and thank him in person.
Big love, bhai. You already know how much your support means to me.
